Our last Friday:(

Welcome back, guys! I didn't really want to start off with “Happy Friyay” because I'm not happy due to the fact that this is our last Friday blog as we are coming towards the end of our journey:( I want to take this time to thank you all for coming with me on this adventure and I promise that all this teasing and waiting will all be over really soon as Carlos and I are finally completely done with our video. To update you guys, our video ended up being too long, like an estimate of 3 minutes, which is why we had to cut out a bunch of the scenes. To have more time, we speeded some videos up like for example the scene of Valeria changing into different outfits which shouldn't come as a surprise to many of you as I had told you guys before I was going to try to do this. We had to literally cut out the entire conversation that Valeria and her Mom had in the kitchen about college because it just took up too much time. The last scenes we had to omit was at the very end when Valeria was supposed to walk back into the house and realize that her makeup is running and ruined. It made me really sad that we had to cut out these scenes, but hey the video still turned out great!

We also had to do some tighter editing as some scenes just had jumps that made our video look messy. After this LONG process, we finally finished and our video reached exactly 2 minutes and not to brag or anything, but it is really good!!! We spread the credits all around the beginning of our video and decided to go with the title that I had told you guys about before, “Getting That Guy.” Overall, I can’t believe that Carlos and I are almost done with our project like OMG these past few months have flown by. We are not 100% done though as we still need to do a CCR which by the way is going to be up tomorrow, so make sure to check it out! I made a script for my CCR so that it would sound more organized and so that I wouldn't forget what I was going to say because, to be honest, I’m not really good at winging it. I actually really enjoyed this project because although it was time-consuming, it was fun. When the cast had to meet up to film, we all didn't really mind because as we got our work done, we laughed, smiled, made jokes, and just had a good time.

Here are some behind the scenes pictures of us having fun!!

P.S. I’m going to miss you guys!

It's time to get wet!

Happy Friday guys!! Before we start off with today's blog, I wanna refresh everyone’s memory by recapping a few things about our project! To break it down for you guys, Carlos and I are completely done filming as we met up one more time during spring break to reshoot some scenes that needed work! We’ve been editing all spring break and let me tell you guys that it really is time-consuming! We’re still not done yet as we have to make a few tweaks here and there, but surprisingly, I really do feel like we’ve been productive this whole break! Today I wanna talk about a specific scene that really made Carlos and I do a lot of thinking. This was the scene of when Carlos and his cool girlfriend drive away and wet Valeria on purpose with their car. Carlos and I had no idea how we were going to shoot this scene because it was really hard trying to get the car to wet Valeria since it hasn’t rained all break which means that there were no puddles!

Here’s the funny story, so Carlos, Valeria, and I grabbed a hose and started spraying it all over the street so that it would form a puddle, but as soon as we had to film, the water would go down the sewer. This is why we had to get another friend to help which was Valeria’s next neighbor, Nick. Nick had to spray the hose, while I drove the car, and Carlos filmed it. Overall, it worked….kind of. We still need to look over the scene to see if it actually looks realistic and if it doesn’t, well then we still have time to fix it!

Here’s a behind the scenes picture of Nick practicing with a bucket:

Here’s a picture of Valeria during the video when she got soaked!

It's vital to have a title!

What’s up my people!! Today’s blog is HUGE as I might have possibly come up with a title for our film opening!! The title is super important when it comes to our opening because since the audience is not going to take a look at the entire film, the opening is what convinces them to stop or continuing watching. In better words, I guess you could say that the title takes part in storytelling due to the fact that it could say so much about the film, but yet so little. I think that coming up with the title was really hard for Carlos and I as we wanted to give away some hints so people know what they are in for, but not spoil the entire thing! Like all film openings, what Carlos and I are aiming for is to keep the audience intrigued and on their feet! So due to the fact that our opening has to do with a teenage girl and how she has a huge crush on a guy, Carlos and I came up with the title…….. “Getting that guy!” We really think that this title could work as our opening basically demonstrates the lengths the girl is willing to go just for her crush to notice her. Like for example, her indecisiveness of which outfit to wear and the excessive makeup choice.

The title is definitely one of the last things we are going to focus on, but I just wanted to share the idea I had. What do you guys think?? Any suggestions?? The thing is that I really want our title to be appealing so that just by reading our title, the audience will wanna know what it’s about. Let’s say I want to watch a movie and I’m just scrolling down a bunch of options, I don’t know about your guys but the title is a huge deal breaker for me because if the title is bad, there is more of a chance I won't select that movie. I know we shouldn’t judge a book by its cover, but sorry this is an opening, not a book! Carlos and I will obviously give you guys a heads up if we decide to change our title or even just stick with it!

Peace and love!!

Call me Pinocchio

Me again!! Welcome back, guys! I really can’t explain why I’m all of a sudden starting to get such great new ideas, but I’m loving it!! So once again I need you guys to refer back to my storyboard as today’s blog is going to be about some scenes early on throughout our opening which is of Valeria. The scenes I’m referring to is of Valeria getting out of bed and changing into a whole bunch of different outfits. If you guys didn’t already know, the reason for this scene is to show her insecurities as she can’t make up her mind on which outfit is the right one. This could also be a stereotype and many teenagers are insecure about themselves and just want to “fit in.” As you guys can tell, Carlos and I put a lot of thought into the scenes we chose because, in the end, it all goes together to represent a typical teenage life. So now I wanna share the new idea I have in my head which is for the scenes of Valeria changing. So I was looking back at all the scenes and realized that the scenes were really slow and boring as Valeria was doing the exact same thing which was trying on a new outfit. Sooooooo the idea I have is to reshoot these scenes, that way we can have Valeria change a whole bunch of times like before but this time we would make the video a little fast pace to create excitement. This would create excitement for the audience as they would be curious to know what Valeria ended up wearing. In my storyboard, I had thought about just filming Valeria looking at the mirror after she had picked an outfit, but now I have the idea of filming her from different angles as well so that the audience can see her whole look. This would mostly consist of me filming her from the front as it would be the best angle.

So what does this mean exactly? This basically means that we just have to have more shots of Valeria from different angles (insert shots). We’re probably still going to use the first shots we took in the second meeting, only this time there is going to be more to see. Like for example, in our second meeting we didn’t really have Valeria change completely into all her outfit options, instead, she just held them over her, but now we’re actually gonna need Valeria to change completely(sorry Valeria)!

So I guess I kind of lied to you guys when I said in one of my blogs that we had finished filming… but hey, think about this way… our opening is going to be epiccc!

Let's get crazy!

Welcome back, beautiful people! So I want to start off by saying that things are going to get a little crazy in this blog as I just got a crazy new idea which could really work. So as you guys know from my storyboard, I was planning to start with an establishing shot of Valeria’s house to show where my film opening would first take place. Well, what do you guys think if instead, we start out with something much cooler? For example, a drone capturing her entire neighborhood and then starts getting closer to her house. I got this drone idea when I was hanging out with my friend, Francisco yesterday and he showed me a really cool shot that he had taken with his drone. Right away, I begged him if I could use it for my film opening and surely he said YES! I feel like this drone idea could really help our project look more professional, but it’s going to be tricky setting up a date to fly it because there can’t be too much or too little wind, which means it has to be a “perfect day!” LOL, do you guys get it? It has to be a perfect day just like the name of my song!!!

To be honest, the idea I had before of just filming a long shot of the house could still really work if the drone idea doesn't due to the fact that they can both be used to establish a setting. I really wish I could tell you guys what day we plan on shooting this, but I can’t because it all depends on the weather. The good news is that Francisco is my next door neighbor, so if anything I could just knock on his door whenever it is a good day and ask him if we could film that same day!

We plan to make our scene look something like this:

Down below is a picture of what a drone looks like:

The Challenge...

Welcome back, peeps! It’s THAT type of blog again….drum roll, please….. MEETING UPDATE!! So as you guys know from our filming schedule, Carlos and I had one more meeting planned for March 16th, 2019 from 3:00pm-4:00pm. To be honest with you guys, I'm actually really surprised Carlos and I have stuck to our schedule, well at least most of it. Anyway, let’s talk about our last meeting which believe it or not turned out great!! We finally got to finish shooting our last few scenes of Valeria, my main actress, and Carlos, who SURPRISE is the other actor in our film opening. Sadly, the reason why we got stuck with Carlos as our other main actor is because I needed to have a guy in my film that I trusted since I would be needing them numerous times just in case we need to reshoot or anything, so the only person who I knew would put a really good effort and that I could count on was Carlos, since I mean it’s his project also LOL!

Now back to our meeting update. So basically, I had to film both Carlos and Valeria for the last few scenes which were the scenes where Valeria sees Carlos outside his house and she obviously has a huge crush on him as she can’t take her eyes off of him and starts trying to impress him, but he doesn’t even notice her due to the fact that he’s on his phone and is waiting for his girlfriend, who of course just so happens to be a cheerleader. If I’m being straight with you guys, this was actually super challenging for me because I had to first film Valeria and then Carlos and vice versa a bunch of times!! It was so stressful!! Each time I would switch to the other person I had to make sure that the cut was PERFECT or else it would look messy! There were a couple of times where I just started filming a little bit earlier so that there was some space in the beginning which I’d obviously edit out later when it’s time for editing. So yea, I had to shoot everything like 3 times to make sure it would sync in perfect with the previous scene which was probably the hardest part of this project so far. Everything else went super well as Carlos and Valeria’s acting was on point…..well, at least Valeria’s was!! :))

Down below is a cute behind the scenes picture of Valeria from our last meeting, right before we started filming:

Until next time!!

Wake up!

Happy Saturday everyone!! So I wanna tell you guys all about how my Saturday morning went as I woke up and had some great idea flowing through my head. The new ideas I had in mind all consisted of additional scenes I could add to my film opening. This happened right when I woke up, so when I got out of bed, the first thing I did was grab a pen and pencil and started writing down all the ideas just so I wouldn't forget. Just in case you guys were wondering, my ideas were all coming to me during my dream as I was dreaming of my project. I can't really explain what was happening in my dream, but I know it had something to do with the fact that some of my classmates were giving me suggestions on better ways that I could start my film opening. For example, the one idea that got stuck in my head was when one kid recommended that I start with pictures of the main actresses life instead of just showing stuff in her room right away, as it portrays a better understanding of who she is and what her interests are.

So right after I wrote down my ideas, I grabbed my phone and called Valeria, my main actress, and asked her if she was free so that I could start getting these scenes on film right away. I drove to Valeria's house a few hours later and told her all about my new idea and she loved it! She started showing me all around her house where she had pictures of her with her family, of her as a little kid, and of her with her dance team. I told her that the pictures were exactly what I looking and that I knew they would help a lot with storytelling!

Take a look at some of Valeria’s pictures:

TEAMWORK!!

Do you guys know what day it is? It’s FRIYAY which means that today's blog is going to be all about good news!! I wanna mention that today was the second time my aice media class met in groups to discuss any new ideas and any further progress with each of our projects. Basically, the purpose of having group meetings as I had mentioned before, is so that we can get feedback and new ideas from other people in the class. Each time we get in groups, my teacher puts us with completely different people, so that we can get opinions from everybody. I think that my group and I did a very nice job today in giving each other new ideas like for example, I helped two of my classmates come up with a better ending to their film opening as the ending they had in mind was more of a trailer ending, instead of an opening film one. We all went really into depth with each of our projects and explained to each other the plots we each had in mind.

When it was my turn, I talked all about my new ideas and about my storyboard and to be honest, thank god for this group meeting because I got so many new opinions on scenes I should add like for example in my storyboard I had planned to end with my main character falling into a puddle and then the title of the film would show up in the puddle, but one of my classmates suggested that it shouldn't end with the title. They gave me the option of introducing my title a little before the end, as it would be more professional since again it’s not a trailer!!. A good option they thought of was to show the title when the girl walks out of the house to see her crush or if I really wanted to show the title in the puddle, then I should add more scenes at the end like for example, have the girl walk back into the house and notice that her makeup was horrible or something near those lines.

Now I finally have a better picture of how my film opening should end thanks to these group meetings, which I hope we continue doing as they have come in clutch!!!

P.S. clutch is slang word teenagers use when something or someone comes in handy.

Meeting updatee!

It’s that time again!! It’s time for our meeting updates!! So as you guys know, Carlos and I had to reschedule one of our meetings because I had forgotten that I had SAT testing. We ended up rescheduling our meeting to this Wednesday, March 13, 2019. I want to let you know that our meeting went really well as we are more than halfway done with our filming!! We have one more meeting left which is where we plan to shoot our last few scenes, but I think that we are going to have to meet up one more time to make sure we have everything we need. So now I wanna talk a little bit more about our last shooting as the scenes we filmed were of the girl going to the kitchen and having a conversation with her mother. The purpose of the dialogue in these scenes is so that the viewer can have a good understanding and picture of the daughter and mothers relationship. The dialogue in our scenes consists of mainly of the mother and daughter talking about college and the reason Carlos and I choose this topic was because we wanted to show the audience what it’s like being a teenager as many parents tend to put a lot of pressure on their kids.

Now, I wanna talk about the representation of the mother in our scenes. Carlos and I were aiming towards the representation of a typical single white mother wearing an apron as she is cooking in the kitchen which of course is also a stereotype as that is what women are expected to do in a household. I wanna mention that I had to borrow an apron from my grandmother because I didn't have one at home. It was actually really funny having to ask her for an apron as she looked at me like I was crazy because she knows I don't like to cook, but don't worry I explained everything to her. Other than that, everything else went smoothly and perfect!

God bless, they said YES!

HI GUYS!! I'm excited to announce that… the company Rock Mafia finally answered us! So as you guys know, the first company we emailed which was Hoku, couldn't really help us due to the fact that they did not own the access rights to the song “Perfect Day.” Although this didn't turn out the way Carlos and I wanted it to, we did not give up. Based on the contact information Hoku gave us, we were able to find Rock Mafia, which as I said in my last blogs, is an American record production/songwriting team who just so happens to own the access rights of our song! I finally found their website and clicked on contact information which provided me with many of their social media like for example, Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter. I tried finding their email first because that's what I thought would be the best way to contact them, but I was wrong because many days passed and they still hadn't answered. Getting desperate, I aimed to contact them through their social media as well, so once again I sent them the same message I had sent them through email which asked for permission. I tried all 3 social media pages just so there was more of a chance that they would answer. I emailed them on Saturday March 9th, 2019 around 6:00 pm and they finally answered me around 9:00 pm that same day. Guess through what social media page? INSTAGRAM!!

As I saw opened their message, my heart was pounding because if they were to say no, Carlos and I would have to find another song and what worried me is that we wouldn't find one as perfect as this one. I opened the direct message and they said…….. YESS!! OMG, I couldn't believe my eyes, I was so happy that we got that out of the way and didn't have to stress about it anymore! I called Carlos right way and told him the news which made him as happy as I was. We are now one step closer to making our film opening perfect!

Come on over, it's time for a voice over!!

For those reading this post, you guys are in for a real treat!!! So call me crazy, but I want to know what you guys would think about the idea of adding a voiceover in our film opening because Carlos and I have been giving it a long thought and we believe that it could really work!! The reason we got inspired to add a voiceover is because during class, we had to do a visual analysis on an opening film of a series called “Pushing Daisies” and of course there was a narrator who told the story of a little boy named Ned from the third point of view. I thought that the voiceover worked really well in the opening film we saw because it gave the audience more of an insight into what’s happening which is the purpose of a voice over. Without the voiceover in this film, I don’t think I would’ve understood what was happening as there were certain scenes that would’ve been hard to interpret without the help of the voiceover. It basically lets the audience know all about Ned’s new power and the benefits and consequences that come along with it. Our voiceover would be a little different because it would be from a first-person point of view meaning that our main actress (Valeria) would also do the narration. The point of our voiceover would be to let the audience dive into our main actress’s head so we know everything she’s thinking and feeling. We still don’t know if we want to use the voice over the entire time or if we would just add it in certain parts that need further explanations. We definitely plan to add some dialogue throughout our opening, but also feel like the voiceover could really be a key asset.

Before I talk about some of the scenes we think of adding the voiceover for, I want to explain more about what the purpose of a voice over. Many filmmakers use voice overs to provide quick explanations, tell stories, and like I said before, look into the mind of the character. The scenes that I believe the voice over would be most useful in is right when our opening film begins since it’s all about knowing who the character is. For example, the voice over could say “ ew no, next “ in the scene of her changing into many different outfits, indicating that the author is insecure. Another time we could use the voice over is when the girl sees her crush outside her window. We could have the narrator say “ omg there he is” or basically anything that indicates she has a huge crush on him. Let me know what you guys think!!

Introduction to production ;)

Before I start off with today's bogs, I wanna apologize for making you guys wait until now for updates about how our production process was going. To be honest, Carlos and I were planning to wait after the second meeting to tell you guys how everything went down, that way we could describe our progress better. So as you guys know, Carlos and I created a filming schedule which can be found in our latest few posts. Carlos and I had scheduled to meet up March 2nd, 2019 from 1:00pm-2:30pm and March 3rd,2019 from 12:00pm- 1:30pm, and so far so good as we stayed true to our schedule…. at least then. To really have you guys get a good picture of how everything went, I want to describe our progress form both days, so that way you have an idea of what leads to what and so on.

Let’s begin with March 2nd, 2019. This would mark our first meeting, so I have to admit that Carlos and I were both pretty nervous...at least I was. Carlos had got to my house right on time and I had everything from our outline to our storyboard set out on the table so that we could get started right way. Before we started, Carlos and I went over all the scenes we were planning to film that day just to refresh our memory until Valeria our leading actress got to my house. Due to the fact that our first meeting was not really going to consist of many scenes of her in it, just the primary stuff like the house, the mother cooking, and stuff in her bedroom, Carlos and I decided to shoot some scenes that we were planning on shooting on our second meeting since it involved more scenes of her. This ended up working out perfectly because, we needed to film a mother in the kitchen, yet there was no adult available at that time, so Carlos and I put our heads together and decided to shoot some scenes from the second meeting and decided to shoot the scene of the mother in the kitchen in our next meeting when an adult was available. Other than that, everything ran smoothly and Carlos and I were more than on a good track.

Now, let’s talk about our second meeting, March 3rd, 2019. This meeting took place the day after our first meeting, so Carlos and I already knew exactly what we needed to do and had everything ready once again. Thankfully, my mom was home that day so the scene we couldn't film the day before of the mother cooking could now be recorded. I have to admit that Carlos and I have been doing really good on time as we finished way at 1:00 pm instead of 1:30pm, the actual time the meeting was supposed to end. Even though we finished earlier, Carlos and I didn't want to put any good time to waste so we grabbed my computer and started putting the scenes together to see how it looked so far and ……

LOL!! You guys really think I was going to tell you how it was turning out? Nope. Don’t worry though, you guys will know once you see the full video, but as for now, NO MORE SPOILERS!

STORYTIME!!

Welcome back, guys! I’m excited to announce that I have a very interesting story to tell you guys that has to do with the fact why Carlos and I have been doing a lot of rescheduling and planning. Don't freak out though because where there is a problem, there is always a solution. Before I talk about it though I want to let you guys in on the inside scoop of our situation or in better words problem, so ……. IT’S STORYTIME!

Once upon a time…LOL just kidding, enough with my jokes. So anyway, it all started during school today as I was sitting in class when all of a sudden, I got a text from Carlos asking me if we were still on for saturday as we had scheduled filming for our third meeting. If you guys don’t know what I am talking about when I say meeting then I recommend you guys go check out my last few posts as it has the filming schedule Carlos and I were planning to stick to. Anyway, the truth is that I had completely forgotten that we had to meet up tomorrow to film the next few scenes. This isn't supposed to be an excuse or anything, but the reason I forgot was because I had been prepping the whole week for my SAT which was on Saturday, March 9th. Carlos and I had planned to meet from 12:00pm- 2:00pm that day, but the SAT would end at 12:30pm or later so we would definitely need to change the timings. I suggested that we meet up later, but Carlos said he couldn't as he had a soccer game at 3:00pm. The story ends as Carlos and I met up quickly after school to come up with a new day to the film which ended up being... drum roll please.... this Wednesday, March 13th.

THE END

This is embarrassing to show, but since I like you guys, I'll let you take a look at our conversation:

Stay tuned for the next blog as I will be discussing how our filming from the last two meetings went!

Change of Plans!!

UPDATE ALERT!! Welcome back guys, as you guys saw in my last post, Carlos and I were trying to get permission for the song “Perfect Day” which is why we emailed their company, Hoku. Soooo… I have some good news, but then again I have some bad news. Which one do you guys want to hear first? Alright, the good news it is! The good news is that the company Hoku finally emailed us back saying that they think our portfolio project sounds great and that they would love to help, but sadly, they aren't the company that owns the rights to that song. They also gave us information on who we should try to contact to ask for access rights, even though they think we can use the song if it doesn't have anything to do commercial distribution. Either way, we want to be 100% sure which is why we started researching once again the information that they gave us.

Take a look:

As you guys can see, the first person they mentioned in the email was Antonina Armato which our research confirmed is the co-founder of Rock Mafia, a record production/songwriting team. We believe that our main focus should be on contacting Antonina Armato as she is the publisher of the song. In the email, they also mentioned trying to contact Interscope Records, but I think that it is going to take a long time for them to contact us back or they might not even reach out at all due to the fact that it is a large company. So now we are back on track as we emailed Antonina Armato, Interscope Records, and Rock Mafias' webpage. I REALLY hope they get back to us soon because if not, we are going to need a plan B!!

P.S. If you guys want to know more about Antonina Armato I found a really cool page down below!

Nothing can go wrong...When you add a song!

WHAT’S UP, MY PEOPLE!! So just to catch up, on my last few posts, I was updating you guys about my project by showing you my storyboard, outline, and time schedule. If I’m being straight up with you guys, this project sure has been a challenge because there's so much to do, and such little time. Alright sorry for my little rant, now back to today’s blog. Basically, Carlos and I have been thinking real hard about what song our opening should have because we have been leaning towards more copyrighted songs, but that could be a complicated process. We believe that royalty free music wouldn't really capture the upbeat mood we want to set for our opening which is why our decision is heading the other way. The two songs we are debating on using is either “Perfect Day” by Hoku or “Shut Up and Drive” by Rihanna as they both have an upbeat mood. These two songs definitely caught my attention when I heard “Perfect Day” on the radio and “Shut Up and Drive” in the movie Wreck it Ralph. What we have to consider is that if we do decide to go with copyrighted music, we would have to ask their production company or whoever has rights to the song for permission and who knows how long that is going to take... Anyway, Carlos and I are willing to take the risk and email the production company even if it means that there’s a chance they might say no. The main thing we have to remember is to mention in our email that it would be for a nonprofit organization, it won't be reproduced, and that it’s for a school project.

Down below is a picture of one of the emails we sent to Hoku records which owns the song “Perfect Day” and of the contact information for the producers of the song “Shut Up and Drive.”

Let’s all cross our fingers!!

Shooting Schedule is up!

Really…. you again? I’m just kidding!! Welcome back my loyal followers! The time has come to…… SHOOT OUR VIDEO!! Well, not exactly shoot our video, but come up with our filming schedule which is just as exciting right?! So basically, I’ve set up a schedule that Carlos and I are going to TRY to follow, that way we don't scramble the whole filming in one day. Of course, we have to make sure that when we film, everything looks the same, like for example, we can't have one scene where it is sunny and another seen where it is raining because it will make the film look messy and unrealistic. So, call me weird, but Carlos and I definitely have to search up the weather climate for the days we plan on filming, so we can reschedule if anything. For example, we are planning to film on sunny days since we believe that it'll go better with our story, as you guys can tell from the storyboard. Another obstacle we have to overcome is coming up with days that don't interfere with our soccer schedule since both of us are really committed soccer players who have practice 4 times a week and games almost every weekend. Don’t worry though, because Carlos and I won't let you down as we are going to make this our top priority.  So here is what we've been thinking, but if we end up rescheduling anything, we will be sure to let you guys know!
Meet days Time Location
  1. March 2nd, 2019 1:00 pm-2:30 pm Sophia’s house
  2. March 3rd, 2019 12:00 pm-1:30 pm Sophia’s house

Storyboard

Welcome back, friends! So as we get closer to shooting our film opening, Carlos and I have to be 100% prepared which is why we decided to draw a storyboard. I wanted to do a storyboard right after my outline because I just had so many ideas flowing into my head that I didn't want to pass them up, so I literally just got a paper and started drawing what I had written. I recommend for you guys to check out my last post about my outline before looking at my drawings, that way you guys have a better picture of how everything is going to go down. The scenes down below are the direction my imagination has taken me so far but don't worry, I’m not going to spoil the whole opening scene for you guys, I just want to give you an inside scoop. I also want to point that this is all for planning purposes and just so we have an idea of what to film when we meet up, so don't get focused if in our actual film opening, the scenes are in a different order or if they aren't there at all. Alright, enough of me, here’s what we've come up with… oh and also please excuse my drawings!

Once again, please comment if you have any pointers or suggestions of scenes that should be added or taken out!! I'm counting on you guys to be real with me because our film opening needs to be liveee!!!!

P.S. For my older fans, live is a slang word teenagers use to describe something amazing or cool.

Wanna shine? Make an outline!

I’M BACKKK!! UPDATE! So I made an outline to show the specific steps Carlos and I plan on taking for our film opening. In order to be well-prepared, our outline is essential which is why I need feedback from you guys! I wanted to mention that today in class, we got into groups of 5 and basically just shared ideas about the direction we were each heading towards our portfolio projects. I think that this was a very useful exercise because not only did it help me get feedback from other peers who are doing the same project, which means they know a little bit more about all of this, no offense, but I got critiques on scenes that I should add or take out. The main thing my peers told me to focus on was the timing of my film opening, more clearly they just wanted me to make sure all the scenes I mentioned reached 2 minutes. I explained to them that my outline only had the main scenes that were going to shown and that I’d obviously add some more on the way, but they told me to be careful with that because if I end up finishing filming and editing and my video is not 2 minutes long, then I am in trouble. So ready or not.....here it is:

P.S. the red marks are recommendations from my group peers of stuff I should either add or take out.
